We recommend hiking and bicycling both the trails and the roads right here in Carolina Keep and the surrounding access roads. There is virtually no traffic for miles around.

We can refer you to hunting and fishing guides or send you kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting or horseback riding. Don't miss Roan Mountain and Mount Mitchell if you're looking for high mountain vistas and Catawba Rhododendron. Picnic on the Blue Ridge Parkway or on the Appalachian Trail.

If you are looking for fine dining, Asheville is 1 hour away and Johnson City, TN is 45 minutes.
